God has given us all a story and being completely honest, I do not like most of mine. Realizing he did not give it to me to sit home and cry about it, has given me strength. Strength to keep going. Strength to talk about it and hopefully help others along the way.
As a believer, I feel he wants us to share our stories and use our unique gifts to help others!
Over the years, I have filled many roles as a Mom – Wife – Friend – Warrior. Most have been great, others have taken me to my knees- some in prayer, others breathless.
What keeps me going is simply within Me.

“Me”- this was the very first tattoo Alec got, located on his inner right forearm for him to see daily. When asked what it meant, his response made me proud… It went something like this…

“It’s to remind me that my happiness only comes from within me, not out there from other people or things. I have to be happy with who I am before something else can make me happy”.

Such truth. Such depth. So Alec.

So often we chase the next thing, hoping for personal contentment, but maybe what we really need is to sit with ourselves, spending time with our inner “me”.

When you are happy with who you are, you will be happier with everything around you.
